“A Home I’ll Never See”!
My friend and her class needs to get ONE MILLION views to get an A+. Watch & Reblog for a good cause! #MakeItPink
Super Update!
So those 9 film projects that I was working on has been narrowed down to 8! I’m bummed, yet relieved at the same time, haha.
- “The Ostrich Effect” - Post-Production
- “This Is A Love Story” - Post-Production
- “Needless Wait” - Filming
- “A Home I’ll Never See” - Pre-Production
- “Astronauts and the Undeclared” - Pre-Production
- Super Happy Secret Fun Time (Secret Title) - Filming
- Unnamed project for my iPhone filmmaking class - Pre-Production
- Stop Action Animation project - Pre-Production
“The Ostrich Effect” was probably one of the smoothest productions I’ve ever been a part of. We filmed 26 scenes in two days without a hitch, probably because we had 4 cameras on set. Insane. I was a second camera.

We were sponsored by Red Bull and we all got cool t-shirts that said “crew” on them. Too legit.

“This Is A Love Story” went really well, too. Production was nontraditional due to the unique nature of the script, but I’m excited for the finished product. I was a second camera for this project as well.

We started filming “Needless Wait” this past Friday and that also went incredibly well. We have a few more shooting days til we’re wrapped. For this project, I’m acting as Director of Photography, as well as, editor.

We’re scheduled to start shooting “A Home I’ll Never See” and “Astronauts and the Undeclared” this month!
And as of right now, I’m not at liberty to elaborate on Super Happy Secret Fun Time ;) and the rest of the projects are at a very early stage of pre-production.
Since my last update, I’ve had the opportunity to work with ESPN for the WNCAA! I didn’t get to do much, but it was a cool experience nonetheless. They spelt my name wrong :(

And speaking of cool experiences, I got to work on the set of Dispatch’s new music video! The guys in the band were super nice and down to Earth. If I didn’t know who they were, I’d have said they were just normal guys.

Jeff from Longshot was there too! I introduced myself and told him about their show that I shot back in December and he was all “Chin!”. So that was cool :) Bummed I can’t make it to their final show, though.
As far as photography projects goes, I shot some promos for my friend’s production company called “Eye To Scope Productions”. Check out the photos here!
And I’ve also been working on some more cinemagraphs! I’ll be posting the next photo as soon as I’m done editing.
All my film projects will be released in May and I’ll be sure to post the links to them!

Here’s a short film I edited last semester for a good friend of mine!
Hiatus.
Going on a hiatus! I’m going to be working on NINE film projects this semester! It’s insane. I’m way psyched about this. So don’t expect any posts any time soon. Although I update my Instagram every day if you wanna follow me! @kaylachin
